By Kiera "Reading Is My Life" Northingtonon September 21, 2014*I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
Author M. F. Kreps takes us on a journey when she finds out her husband is cheating. She goes on a journey, not only with life, but with her hair as she gets it cut into a Caesar. For many women, their hair is who defines them, but the author instead defines her hair. The choices, emotions, and decisions that she makes as she goes throughout her discovery, are touching. It's true what they say, that the right hairstyle can change your life. I laughed, teared up, and lived vicariously through Margaret's journey. This was an enjoyable read, and the explosive ending knocked me back in my chair! One of my likes about the book is that none of the characters were 100% perfect; it gave them instant like-ability to me.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a short, enjoyable, easy to follow read.
Paula Harp's review 5 of 5 stars Read in August, 2014
I received this book as an ARC for a honest review. This book is about a woman's life journey starting with a radical haircut for the times and a divorce. This is told from the woman's viewpoint as the story of how she
caught her husband cheating but made her plans first before he knew she knew. That's a smart woman, get your ducks in a roll before you let him know you have found out about his affair. She goes on vacation with a friend to the islands,
actually paid $200 for weaves in her hair to go on vacation and soon as she gets there decides she wants a radical change and goes and gets all her hair cut off into a "Caesar" which sounds like REALLY SHORT hair and dyes it red. The
haircut is the root of her life journey, and finding the "perfect" salon or barber to keep it up. All in all an entertaining short read over your lunch hour.
This is a MUST READ book*....One of our former community members MF Kreps aka X ray from the former Newark Truetwodagame SC wrote a book and it is AMAZING! ! I was hooked from the time I opened it til the very end. I could almost picture &... feel myself actually being in some of the occurrences . I'm pleasantly shocked and know if you read it you will be enjoy it too. Again DEFINITELY A GOOD BOOK AND A MUST READ! ! Hit her up her FB page or inbox her (MF kreps) or at....

Comment: I met you last Saturday at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, which is where I purchased your book. I absolutely loved it! I definitely understood your plight looking for the perfect barber. I wear my hair in a short cut and in between my trips to the salon I have to have my hair tapered at the neck, it's no easy feat finding a barber to cut it exactly the way you want. Your book was funny, insight full and easy to read....

I highly recommend this book!
Margaret is an excellent storyteller! If you're a fan of Terry McMillan books, you will definitely enjoy this. No one was perfect in the story, which added to its authenticity and made it all the more refreshing. http://www.amazon.com/My-Intimate-Journey-Caesar-more-ebook/product-reviews/B00HVE1YB2/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1
I liked the author's style of writing. She brings in a plethora of emotions, many of them quite unexpected in the given situations, like how she reacted regarding her divorce. But that is what keeps you so connected to what Margaret
is saying, and feeling, and all the things happening in her life. She weaves all these bits around her interest in hairstyles, especially her own Caesar cut(what happened in her life, since she got the caesar cut done). It was a nice
roller-coaster which gives you an insight into the narrator's troubling but interesting personality, and it has a deadly end. Good one.

Ms. Kreps keeps it real with her: My Intimate Journey with Caesar. The author was experiencing a heart wrenching decision when she founded out her husband was cheating. She did not fight with him, instead she found herself! She souls searched instead of create a battle within her household. Ms. Kreps was unsure of the haircut however she overcame it with each encounter she had with different events in her daily life. What an exciting read!
You never know what any one person is going thru behind close doors. Your family issues are close in context to my own. I didn't have children was the only separation. I see myself thru Margaret's words on these pages. What an excellent creation of her life in a fictional novel. The author did a nice job by adding her life and also creating fiction to held bring about this well writing novel. Margaret we will have a wonderfully round decision on the air. I have read this book in preparation for our interview and in the end was really satisfied with the read. First I love the style of text used. Then I like how informal it is yet very professional. I could go on and on hear. Great job on how you handled yourself in your personal situation.
